We are now on Facebook, Linkedin (Paula Bass and KBC Tools) and Ebay.
We are using these sites to create a greater connection with our organization and to draw people to our website.
On Facebook we are posting Jokes of the Day, Parkinson’s Walk photos, a history of KBC catalog covers, info about sales flyers, product videos, and more.
On Linkedin we have posted our monthly Pump Up the A/R, Pump Up the Sales, and a notice of fraud. We have had some good feedback, and karen received notification that the police arrested the “fraudster”.
On Ebay greg and nicole keep our store stocked with items that are overstocked, discontinued, end of lines, as well as enough of a sampling of items from all of our product categories that potential clients have an idea of what we sell….and then find their way to our web site.
Parkinson’s Walk 2010
What a great day! Walking with the KBC team at the Parkinson’s Walk. How exciting to see generations of KBC’ers gathered together with smiles and enthusiasm even as the rain poured down on us. Everyone shined!

A little stressed, a little overwhelmed, a little backed up?
We’ve all been juggling numerous balls since the economy took a dive and we started slimming down the hours to try to keep pace with sales.
….so, do you have any tips to share to ease the stress and get the most out of your day?
…..so, do you have any suggestions of activities, projects, or responsibilities that you feel aren’t really essential to KBC or, our clients’ satisfaction that we could modify to diminish the time required or eliminate?
….if you could have one extra hour at work today to do anything you needed to do, what would that be?

NEW CATALOG
Our new catalog launch has been postponed. We may have new catalogs prior to the mailing, and we will let you know as soon as they are in house. Charlie and the in house art team are busy finalizing all the details – it looks great.
Our updated web site will be on line soon. At this point it will remain in the same format as our current http://www.kbctools.com site with updated pages and an updated landing page. A new web site is scheduled for January 2011 that will have greater capabilities similar to http://www.kbctoolsandmachinery.com.
The Economy is Heating Up!
Most of our branches are seeing monthly sales greater than last year’s. We are working hard to beat what could only be described as a most dismal year.
Let’s put the doom and gloom of last year behind us. Do not assume that your clients do not have extra money for a spiff or to stock up on products they use on a regular basis when on sale.
We’ve spent a lot of time convincing ourselves that people can’t buy, won’t buy, aren’t buying. Now is the time to de-brainwash ourselves and start working on a new reality of possibilities, positives, and successes.
Ask for the order! Ask for what is not on the order!*** ask for more! Suggest more!
More is better!
So, please put on your happy face. Go for the gusto, and sound like you believe that the world is a better place than last year.
The days are heating up and so is the economy!
***If your client only buys cutting tools from us, ask about the other categories that he is not buying from us, ie. Fluids, carbide tooling, work holding, precision instruments, etc.
