Can you believe it is August already? It has been a hot summer.
In this economy it is very, very important to strengthen our relationship with our clients .
Look on the bright side. Things are picking up and we have great customer service.
You can become the person in the office that people aspire to be like. Have a positive and a “go-to” attitude. Our customers will feel that inspiration and want to purchase our products.
Let me tell you the truth for real. Your customer, the one that gives you that feeling in your stomach that something is not right, is going to say one of two things. They will tell you what you want to hear, because they cannot say NO. Then when it is decision time, they will be no where to be found. Or, they will tell you that your competitor has outbid you, and it may not be true, because they want a better price and they know that if they twist your arm, you will give it to them.
This is when research comes in handy. You will need to know a little about your competition. If you are not sure, you need to work a little with them. Your price should be competitive to begin, but leave some wiggle room. You will also need to be sure you have really listened to your customer’s needs and meet them with your pricing. The key with these customers is to really show the value of our product.
Use your sales skills for this one. Compare your product to theirs. Explain why our product may cost a little more but offers so much more. Explain why your competition may not have met their needs but listen carefully to make sure his needs are met by us. By using this procedure, our customer is really opening the door to allow you to educate them.
Take advantage of this situation and use your sales skills to win the sale!
